Welcome to Pat Barker Academy of Dance

We’ve been teaching the local communities of Burbage, Hinckley and surrounding areas since 1982 when the school was founded by Pat Barker. Miss Pat retired in 2022 handing the reigns of the school to Miss Rachael Groocock.

We teach a variety of dance styles including, Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance syllabus), Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary (Rambert Grades), Tap and Modern (IDTA syllabus), Acrobatic Arts and Tumbling, and Commercial.

Our classes cater for the youngest dancers at around 2 years old to the more mature dancer who might be interested in our Adult Ballet or Silver Swans classes.

Miss Rachael is also an APPI qualified Pilates instructor with classes held on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings.
